Meet the partners: SPECIFIC POLYMERS
“As part of the HyLiST project, SPECIFIC POLYMERS brings its expertise in polymers and single-ion technology to design and produce polymer electrolyte materials that combine outstanding battery performance (conductivity, electrochemical stability, etc.) with enhanced processability. After an initial phase of lab-scale development aiming to identify the best materials for the application, SPECIFIC POLYMERS will produce the top candidates at larger scale for pilot-line manufacturing of pouch cells.”
Founded in 2003, SPECIFIC POLYMERS is a French SME with 30 employees acting as a R&D services’ provider in the field of innovative monomers, polymers, coatings and materials. The company was created to meet the needs of international stakeholders by filling the gap between academic and industrial research. SPECIFIC POLYMERS uses its expertise to develop new polymers for the environment (biodegradability, end of life, recycling), energy (batteries, fuel cells), health (biomaterials, nanomedicine) and high performance (aeronautics, space, electronics) topics. For almost 10 years, SPECIFIC POLYMERS has been contributing to the development of tomorrow’s lithium batteries through the production of a large range of monomeric and polymeric lithium salts, conductive polymers, additives and plasticizers. Being able to design and synthesize such a variety of innovative components allows SPECIFIC POLYMERS to be involved in the development of tomorrow’s solid polymer electrolytes (SPE).
SPECIFIC POLYMERS participates in WP4 “Hybrid solid electrolyte processing”. Their dream team is composed by Camille Chatard, Bénédicte Daydé-Cazals, Pierre-Louis Brient, Florian Briee, Clémentine Antolin, and Marion Combre.
