Partners visit PULSEDEON OY in Li, Finland, to see their advancements

Looking back at our time in Finland earlier this year! Immediately following our General Assembly at Tampere University on January 28th-29th, the HyLiST team took the opportunity to see our project’s technical work in person!

Our colleague Anastasia Teck (Uppsala University) traveled to Li (near Oulu, in Finland) to visit the Pulsedeon OY tech center, where the critical anode materials for HyLiST are produced. It was a great opportunity to get out of the meeting room and into the lab to see the progress being made.

Highlights from the site visit:

  • A guided tour by Minna (Pulsedeon) of the PLD (Pulsed Laser Deposition) equipment and the battery testing set-ups.
  • Seeing the actual progress of the deposition process used for our project materials.
  • Discussing shared research approaches and brainstorming new ideas for how to test the materials developed within the project.
