Our 3rd Press Release is here, unveiling how collaborative teamwork and technical breakthroughs are accelerating European battery innovation within the HyLiST project
Following the previous winter meeting in Tampere, the HyLIST consortium gathered in the coastal city of San Sebastián, Spain, for its 3rd General Assembly. The meeting marked a critical transition from early-stage component development into deeper system alignment and strategic pivots.
Key Highlights & Breakthroughs
- Generation 4b Evolution: Partners aligned on refining Generation 4b Solid-State Batteries, focusing on cobalt-free, high-voltage LNMO-based cathodes, advanced solid electrolytes, and overcoming interface testing challenges.
- Exploitation Strategy Workshop: An interactive session focused on mapping Key Exploitable Results (KERs) to ensure scientific breakthroughs are primed for commercial market adoption.
- CIDETEC’s Lab Tour:The consortium took an immersive tour of the facilities to witness their precision engineering and laboratory capabilities, reinforcing appreciation for the infrastructure fueling the project’s goals.
What’s Next?
The coming months will prioritize strategic interface refinements based on Gen 4b data and adapting architectures for large-scale manufacturing setups using advanced dry processing techniques.
San Sebastián proved that the consortium’s unified vision is its greatest superpower. Leaving Spain, the partners carry stronger bonds and the collective spark needed to revolutionize European battery technology.
