Europe’s push to electrify its transport sector – from cars to planes – faces a big challenge: today’s lithium-ion batteries.However high costs, safety risks and heavy battery packs leads to hiccups. For Europe’s electrification goals, current battery tech just isn’t enough.

HyLiST is developing Generation 4b solid-state batteries designed to overcome today’s limitations. Some important aspects include:

• Hybrid solid electrolyte eliminates flammable liquids – improved safety
• Lighter packs for better performance in EVs & aircraft
• More viable & cost-efficient for large-scale adoption
